With hundreds of events on the board at any time, the hard part of a sportsbook is often just finding the match you care about. This page explains how the Melbet sportsbook is laid out, how markets and odds work, and the difference between betting before a match and during it.
How the sportsbook is organised
Every bet sits at the end of the same chain. Once you know the chain, any sport is easy to navigate.
SportFootball, basketball…
Country or regionWhere it's played
CompetitionLeague or cup
EventA single match
MarketWhat you're betting on

The search field is quicker when you know the team. Type part of a club or player name and the matching events appear, whatever sport or league they're in.
Sports you can bet on at Melbet
The side menu lists the top sports first, in this order, followed by everything else from A to Z. On 23 October 2026 the live section alone had 863 events open. The list changes with the calendar, and only events that are open for betting appear.
The deepest coverage in the sportsbook. The top European leagues (England's Premier League, Spain's La Liga, Germany's Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A and France's Ligue 1) sit alongside the UEFA Champions League and Conference League, CAF club competitions and hundreds of smaller leagues, from China's second tier to Ghana's regional leagues.
Every match carries the core markets (1X2, double chance, totals and handicaps), and the big games add hundreds more.
Tennis
ATP and WTA tour events run almost every week, with singles and doubles. Besides match winner you'll find total games, game handicaps and set betting. Tournament winner markets let you back a player to lift the trophy before or during the event.
If a player retires mid-match, the market's rules decide whether bets stand or are void, so check them before you bet on a player carrying an injury.
Basketball
The NBA, Euroleague and VTB United League headline basketball, with women's leagues like Australia's WNBL in the live menu too. The main market is Team Wins, which includes overtime, so there's no draw. Points totals and handicaps are the other staples.
Lines move fast in basketball because scoring is constant. A 10-point lead can disappear in two minutes.
Ice hockey
The KHL is the busiest ice hockey competition on Melbet, with several games a day in season. The 1X2 market is settled on regular time, so a game that goes to overtime is a draw for that bet. Totals are usually set around 4.5 to 5.5 goals.
Volleyball
Match winner, set handicaps and points totals. Volleyball is popular live because momentum swings set by set, and markets reprice after every set.
Table tennis
Short matches played around the clock, so there's almost always a table tennis game in the live section. The pace is high and odds change point by point.
Cricket
International matches, including youth and women's cricket, plus domestic leagues. Alongside the result you'll find innings totals and individual team totals (marked IT1 and IT2 in the market headers).
Dota 2, Counter-Strike, League of Legends and Mobile Legends tournaments, plus a 24/7 programme of simulated football, basketball and fighting-game matches. Esports has its own guide.

Pre-match and live betting
Both live in the same sportsbook and use the same bet slip. The difference is timing, and that changes how the odds behave. Live betting has its own guide: Melbet live betting.

How odds work
Odds show two things at once: how likely the bookmaker thinks an outcome is, and what you get back if it happens. In decimal format you multiply the stake by the odds to get the total return, and that return includes your stake.
Example: a stake of 100 on a team at odds of 1.85 returns 185 if the team wins: your 100 back plus 85 profit. At odds of 3.40 the same stake returns 340.
Lower odds mean the outcome is considered more likely. They don't mean it's certain. For bet types, the bet slip and bet statuses, see how to bet on Melbet.

Sportsbook tools and features
Beyond the match list, the sportsbook has tools that save time or change how a bet works. These are the ones on the Melbet site today:
Top events, favourites and recommended
The TOP-EVENTS bar at the top of the site jumps straight to the biggest competitions of the moment, such as the Champions League, the Conference League or the League of Legends Worlds. In the side menu, star a match to add it to Favourite matches. Recommended shows matches picked for you, and Top competitions lists the leagues most people are betting on.
Multi-LIVE lets you follow several live events side by side on one screen. In the live section, the With live streams switch filters the list down to events you can watch inside the event page.
Every day Melbet picks a ready-made accumulator, plus a live version, and adds a bonus multiplier to its odds. You add it to your bet slip in one tap.
Real example from 23 October 2026: four selections at 1.93, 1.684, 1.904 and 1.227 have combined odds of 7.59. Melbet's bonus multiplier of 1.1 raised that to 8.352, so a 200 ETB stake would have returned 1,670 ETB instead of 1,519 ETB.
The bet slip generator builds a slip for you from the parameters you enter. Bet on the favourite suggests the favourites in the day's biggest matches. One-click bet places a bet at a preset stake with a single tap, which is handy in live betting but easy to overuse.
Save and load bet slips
Save/load events turns a bet slip into a code. Share the code, or enter someone else's code, and the same selections load into your slip. You still choose the stake and confirm the bet yourself.
Bet slip sale (cash out)
Sell an open bet back before it settles, for the value shown in your bet history. It's a way to lock in part of a win or cut a loss when a match turns.
Enhanced Specials and Toto
Enhanced Specials are markets built across several matches at once, for example the total goals in a set of five KHL games. Toto is pool betting: you predict the results of a fixed list of matches, and payouts depend on how many you get right. The Toto rules page sets out the prize structure for each draw.
Bet on Your National Team
A pre-match section that collects national team fixtures in one place, so you can find international matches without browsing league by league.
The Statistics section has head-to-head records, form and league tables. Results lists the final scores of finished events, which is the quickest way to check how a bet should have settled.
Cash out (Bet slip sale)
Some open bets can be settled early. On Melbet this is called Bet slip sale. Your bet history shows the current sale value, which moves with the odds. Accepting it settles the bet for that amount and it can't be reversed. If the option disappears, the market is suspended or a sale isn't offered for that bet. Some promotions, such as the Accumulator Booster, can't be sold.
Checking results and settled bets
Open bets and settled bets are kept in your bet history, which you'll find in your Melbet account. Each entry shows the selections, odds at the time the bet was accepted, the stake and the result. If a settlement looks wrong, note the bet ID from the history before you contact support. It's the fastest way for the team to find it.
