How much bonus you get
The bonus is 200% of the deposit until it reaches the 37,000 ETB cap. That means the cap is reached with an 18,500 ETB deposit. Depositing more than that doesn't increase the bonus.
Worked example: deposit 1,000 ETB and the bonus is 2,000 ETB. Deposit the minimum 185 ETB and the bonus is 370 ETB.
One thing to watch: Melbet's own calculation example on the offer page uses 100% (a 37,000 ETB deposit giving a 37,000 ETB bonus), which doesn't match the 200% headline. Check the percentage the cashier shows before you confirm the deposit, and keep a screenshot. What wagering actually costs
To turn the bonus into withdrawable money you need turnover of 8 times the bonus. Every qualifying bet must be an accumulator of at least 3 selections, with at least 3 of those selections at 2.10 or higher. So every qualifying ticket has combined odds of at least 9.26 (2.10 × 2.10 × 2.10).
Worked example: with a 2,000 ETB bonus you need 16,000 ETB of qualifying accumulators. A ticket of 2.10, 2.20 and 2.50 has combined odds of 11.55. Stake 500 ETB from the bonus account and it returns 5,775 ETB if all three win. You would need 32 tickets of that size to clear the full 16,000 ETB.
Odds of 11.55 imply a win roughly 1 time in 12. That's why a bonus balance often runs out before the wagering is finished. Treat the bonus as extra play on top of your deposit, not as money you're guaranteed to withdraw.
Our suggestions
- Complete and verify your profile first. A missing email or unactivated phone number is enough to stop the bonus being credited.
- Opt in before depositing. The bonus can't be added to a deposit that's already gone through.
- Deposit what you'd spend anyway. Don't stretch to 18,500 ETB just to hit the cap.
- Use smaller stakes per ticket. Many small accumulators give you more chances to hit one than a few big ones.
- Pick the 2.10+ legs carefully. They're the hard part. You can add shorter-odds legs, but at least three must be 2.10 or higher.
- Check event dates. Every event must start and settle within the offer's validity period.
